Changes for clients of the former KBC Bank Bulgaria

On this page, you can obtain information about the changes for clients of the former KBC Bank Bulgaria, which officially merged with UBB in 2023.

 
 
Your new IBAN number >>

As an individual customer, freelancer or micro-business owner, you are now actively banking through our new mobile and online banking services - UBB Mobile and UBB Online. In your new digital channels you can see and use your accounts, and soon you will also see your loans. If you need further assistance, you can always contact your Relationship Manager or visit a convenient branch or micro-business centre, and in a digital environment, the digital assistant Kate for business customers at UBB Mobile is ready to respond. 

In addition, the Digital Assistant Kate at UBB Mobile will be your digital assistant as you explore your new digital channels and ask questions about the bank's products and services.

  • The interest terms and fees of the loan you have availed of are subject to your loan agreement. There are also no changes to the collateral pledged, including any surety agreements entered into for the loan. 
  • Information about your loan - interest rate, maturity date, loan principal balance, final loan repayment date, amount of the next repayment instalment, as well as the account servicing your loan, will be available in UBB Mobile/ UBB Online. You can also get information about them at a convenient UBB branch or microbusiness centre.  
  • You will be able to see the repayments made on your loan after transferring them to UBB Mobile/UBB Online in these digital channels in the movements on the account servicing the loan. Historical information is currently available on KBC Online Bulgaria/ KBC Mobile Bulgaria.  
  • You will continue to receive reminder notifications of upcoming instalments in UBB Mobile 
  • Your loan will continue to be serviced automatically, subject to the availability of the required repayment amount by the relevant month. 
  • If you have life/property insurance with your consumer or mortgage loan, there are no changes to its terms. If you have annual property insurance on your mortgage loan, be sure to renew the mortgaged property insurance each year until the loan is paid in full. Note that you must notify the bank and provide the appropriate paperwork to renew.  
  • You will see information on the principal and interest deducted on your loan in UBB Online/ UBB Mobile, as well as the life insurance premium paid on the loan used. The information is available in account movements in both channels.

As our business and freelance customers, you can now access and bank securely and conveniently on your new digital channels - UBB Mobile/UBB Online. In your new digital channels, you can see and use your accounts, and soon you will see, among others, your business' investment and working capital loans. 
 
If you need further assistance, you can always contact your Relationship Manager or visit a convenient branch or micro-business centre, and the digital assistant Kate for business customers at UBB Mobile is ready to respond in a digital environment.

  • The terms and fees of your business loans are in accordance with the signed contracts and Terms and Conditions and do not change.  
  • Servicing of your loan will continue automatically, subject to the availability of the required repayment amount as at the relevant month in accordance with the signed repayment plan and the terms of the loan agreement. 
  • You can now view the drawn and undrawn amounts as well as the principal and interest on your business loan in UBB Online/ UBB Mobile and information on the total amount of credit disbursed can be obtained on request at a branch, micro-business centre or by contacting your Relationship Manager. 
  • Information on the repayments made /and/or amounts drawn/ on your loan after transferring them to UBB Online/OBB Mobile can be viewed in the account movements serving the loan. Historical information about your loans is available at this stage on KBC Online Bulgaria and KBC Mobile Bulgaria, as well as at any convenient UBB branch or business centre.  
  • There are no changes to the collateral and insurance terms of the collateral related to your business loans. 

From 30.11.2024 transfers to IBAN numbers with RZBB are no longer possible. 
 
If you are our client: 

If the IBAN number of your account contained RZBB, please note that this number was valid until 29 November 2024. From 30.11.2024 it is no longer possible to execute transfers directed to RZBB IBAN. Payments and transfers are only accepted to your IBAN account number containing UBBS. Note hat this change does not affect your account in any way in terms of availability, terms and conditions. 

Share the IBAN of your account containing UBBS 

If you have not already done so, share your new IBAN number containing UBBS with everyone from whom you receive payments to avoid the inconvenience of not receiving an expected transfer to the account containing RZBB. 

Don't know your new IBAN number? Learn it by: 

  • Log in to UBB Mobile or UBB Online - each of your accounts will be displayed with both IBAN numbers - the current one with RZBB and the new one with UBBS until 29 November 2024. Please note that the change of IBAN numbers does not affect your account in any way in terms of availability, terms and conditions. 
  • Ask the digital assistant Kate at UBB Mobile. Kate can provide you with information on the new IBAN number of each of your accounts  
  • Use the IBAN converter available here and then check the result in your digital channels or by visiting an UBB branch 

Visit a convenient UBB branch where you will receive a free certificate of your new account number.  

How you can share it your new IBAN number: 

  • Quickly and easily - via the "Share" function in UBB Mobile 
  • In person - by contacting the people and organisations you usually receive funds from.  
  • Through your own media - if you are a business customer, reflect the correct information about your new IBAN containing UBBS on your website, in your social media profiles, plan to reflect this information in other company materials - leaflets, brochures, calendars 

What's important to know: 

  • All outgoing transfers from your account are now broadcast from the IBAN number containing the UBBS. This means that you can even more easily target people with whom you exchange payments from the same accounts, making them aware that they can use the number from which they last received a transfer.  
  • When communicating your new number, make it clear to those from whom you receive transfers that they need to change their templates if they contain an IBAN with RZBB 
  • If you receive grants from a funding institution, you must provide them with the account certificate as soon as possible 
  • You do not need to notify the change if you receive social payments such as pensions and sick pay from national institutions 

If you are making payments to our client: 

If you have not yet been informed of the new account number of the person or company you are making transfers to, we advise you to contact the account holder and request their new IBAN number containing UBBS. If you decide to use the IBAN converter, be sure to check the resulting IBAN with the recipient. 

If you already know the new account number, modify your templates to facilitate subsequent payments, now to the IBAN containing the UBBS.
