Your role will be:
• Design, develop and maintain advanced Machine Learning, Generative AI, NLP and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions to address complex business challenges.
• Build end-to-end AI/ML pipelines, including data ingestion, preprocessing, retrieval, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), model development, fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, MLOps specialists, Machine Learning Engineers and Software Engineers to ensure successful deployment of data-driven solutions.
• Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve the performance and effectiveness of existing analytical and predictive models.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation of data science processes, methodologies and best practices.
• Contribute to innovative data science initiatives and collaborate with international teams across the KBC Group to deliver impactful AI solutions.

The role is part of a country-level function that provides services across multiple legal entities within the KBC Bulgaria Group.

You are the right candidate if:
• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Linguistics, Engineering or a related field.
• You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience developing data-driven solutions using Machine Learning, NLP and advanced analytics techniques.
• You have practical experience with Python and modern AI/ML frameworks such as Hugging Face, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch or similar technologies.
• You possess strong knowledge of Generative AI, Transformer architectures, Large Language Models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, LLaMA or similar) and model fine-tuning techniques.
• You have experience with AI/ML solution design and cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects, research initiatives or Kaggle competitions will be considered an advantage.
• Previous experience in banking, financial services or insurance will be considered an advantage.
• You are fluent in English and have strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
