Following the approvals of all regulatory authorities Frank Jansen officially assumes the position BoD Member and Executive Director SME Banking at UBB. On 20-th February 2025 the Bulgarian Commercial Register officially entered the change in the Management Board of the largest bank in Bulgaria.

Frank Jansen replaces in this position Desislava Simeonova, who decided to withdraw from the Bank’s management in the summer of 2024. In his CV the new Executive Director SME Banking of UBB has 40 years of international experience as a banker in various positions in the KBC Group structures.

Over the period 2007-2019 he was an important part of the KBC team in Bulgaria and participated in the expansion of the Belgian Group's business in Bulgaria, by consecutively holding the positions Chief Financial and Risk Officer at CIBANK, Chief Financial Officer of KBC Group in Bulgaria and Executive Director Corporate and SME Banking at UBB.

In 2019 he moved to Ireland where he worked as Chief Financial and Product Officer of KBC Ireland and Chief Executive Officer of KBC Ireland up until his present appointment. 

Frank Jansen holds a Master’s Degree in notarial law from the universities in Antwerp and Leuven, as well as a Master’s Degree in management from the University of Antwerp, and others.

He is fluent in Flemish, English and French, and has oral and written proficiency in Bulgarian, German, Spanish and Polish languages.
