UBB was General Partner to one of the highly anticipated special events in Bulgaria – the celebration of the Beaujolais Nouveau 2025

For yet another year in a row UBB was General Partner to one of the most awaited for special events in Bulgaria, thus paying tribute to French culture, spirit and the significant role of France in global wine production - celebration of the Beaujolais Nouveau. On 20th November 2025 more than 1500 guests - representatives of businesses, institutional and diplomatic circles gathered at the National Palace of Culture, to celebrate the arrival of the famous wine.
By tradition the event happens on the third Thursday of November and is being held in over 200 countries worldwide, and thanks to UBB, Bulgaria has been part of its unique atmosphere over the recent years. The ceremony was declared open by Mr. Stefan Delaye, Chairman of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry /FBCCI/ and by Ms. Vesela Todorova-Mosettig, Director of FBCCI.
Before opening the first bottle of the new vintage, guests were welcomed by Ms. Iliyana Yotova, Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Her Excellency Ms. Marie Dumoulin, Ambassador of the Republic of France in Bulgaria, Ms. Andriana Petkova, Executive Director of the National Palace of Culture, and Mr. Dobromir Dobrev, Member of the Country Team of KBC Group in Bulgaria, Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Director Corporate Banking and Markets at UBB.
In his welcome speech Dobromir Dobrev emphasized that it was an honour for UBB to be General Partner to the event and said: “The Beaujolais Nouveaux symbolizes the new beginning, the freshness and joy of living. It is exactly these values that are also close to our mission of being there with support for you at every significant moment, and of building together a future, full of opportunities“.
This year as a token of respect to Bulgaria on the part of France the label of wine bottles features the renowned Bulgarian oil-bearing rose, and the event guests have been greeted by the „One Bulgarian rose“ song, which in itself symbolizes the hospitality and charm of Bulgaria.
After opening the first bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau, guests had the opportunity to savour the unique taste and aroma of the 2025 vintage, while surrounded by the music of the classical instruments of Symphoniette Sofia and of the accordion of the artist Venislav Budinov.
