UBB has reduced e-transfer fees for individuals

date

26 January 2023

UBB has reduced the fees for fund transfers, made through digital channels - online and mobile banking - as of January 24, 2023. The reduction applies to fees for interbank fund transfers in BGN and EUR (via BISERA and SEPA), as well as to all intrabank transfers within UBB, made by individuals through the mobile or online banking functionalities.

In recent years, fund transfers made through digital channels have been one of the most widely used banking services by individuals. About 93% of the transfers made by individuals in UBB are through digital channels.

"For more than a year, we have been constantly talking about inflation and price hike, however, now we can truly support our customers by reducing the charges for one of the most frequently used banking services - digital money transfers for individuals," commented Tatyana Ivanova, Executive Director of UBB, responsible for the Digital Channels, Data and Operations domain. "Thus, we not only relieve our customers, but also encourage them to use digital banking channels, which are secure, significantly cheaper and time-saving. We have been persistent in our efforts to achieve this, as evident from the fact that UBB is Bulgaria’s digital leader for Y2022, according to a study of Deloitte on the global digital banking maturity", she added.

In addition to making digital payments at lower fees, UBB customers can also pay their utility bills through digital channels free of charge.
