VALIYAN, Orenda Group and Medina Med are this year’s winners of the special awards for sustainable development, given out by UBB within the Greenest Companies competition, organized by b2b Media.

The 15-th edition of the prestigious competition for achievements in the domain of green policies, campaigns, investments, programs for sustainable development and causes for a healthier environment announced its winners at an official ceremony, held on 09.05.2025 in Intercontinental Hotel, Sofia city.

UBB is a traditional partner of this event, as for a third time in a row it has given out prizes to companies -customers of the Bank - with special achievements in the sustainable development domain.

This year’s winner of UBB’s special award in the Circular Economy category is VALIYAN OOD, a furniture company, using technologies for efficient utilization of production waste and achieving zero carbon footprint.

Orenda Group OOD that won the special award of UBB in the Sustainability and Social Responsibility category at the end of last year, obtained a B Corp Certificate, which is being awarded to companies that demonstrate exceptional engagement with sustainability, social responsibility and ethics. To date the companies in Bulgaria, certified under B Corp, are just a few.

The tyre manufacturer Medina Med AD deserved the special award of UBB in the Sustainable Innovations category for the realization of a project, through which the company reduces waste formation, introduces efficient utilization of resources of organic origin and improves the energy efficiency of manufactured products.

The awards for winners in the special categories of UBB were presented by Mr. Aleksandar Peev, General Manager Corporate Social Responsibility at UBB.

The Greenest Company in 2025 grand prize of the b2b Media competition was presented to bTV Media Group.
