UBB will participate in the European Money Week from 18th until 24th March

date

18 March 2024

For yet another year, UBB will take part in the European Money Week initiative organized by the European Banking Federation and implemented locally under the auspices of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria. From 18th until 24th March, An Open Doors Day will be held at various branches of UBB throughout the country. Colleagues from Veliko Tarnovo, Varna and Sofia will welcome students from selected schools and will introduce them to the work of the bank and the role of bank employees. During their visit, youths will be given valuable advice as to how they can develop responsible behaviour towards their personal finance and what are the benefits of saving and investing in bank products.

A special educational series in UBB’s account in TikTok will present the topic of personal finance to the Z generation in an accessible and entertaining manner, and it will challenge the youth audience to suggest who and for what achievements they would choose to appear on the Bulgarian euro banknotes.

Within the European Money Week initiative, UBB will take part in one more challenge organized by the Junior Achievement Foundation. In it, children of employees will be able to take part by recording a video survey among their fellow students with the following question stimulating entrepreneurial thinking: “How could you make 150 Bulgarian leva out of 100 Bulgarian leva?”  The competition aims to encourage their creativity and to help them enrich their financial culture.

Further information about the European Money Week can be found on the dedicated section of the European Banking Federation: https://www.ebf.eu/europeanmoneyweek/ and on ABB's website: ABB – Association of Banks in Bulgaria (abanksb.bg).
