Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) EAD - Preliminary Results 2003

According to the bank’s preliminary figures for the year ending Dec. 2003, the Bank’s balance sheet total reached BGN 847 Mio. (an increase of 44% compared to the figure for year-end 2002); total loans to non-financial institutions rose to BGN 664 Mio. (an increase of 50% compared to 2002); deposits from non-banking institutions reached BGN 514 Mio. (an increase of 27% compared to 2002); and the financial results before taxes and provisions reached BGN 25 Mio. (an increase of 81% compared to 2002).

In 2004, the Bank will continue to expand its activities by enlarging its branch network and broadening its market presence in the segments of retail banking and corporate lending to large, middle and small companies. In the upcoming year, Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) will start offering leasing services through its own universal leasing company, with shareholders Raiffeisen Leasing International GmbH, Vienna and Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) EAD.
