The new Videobanking service of UBB saves its clients time and personal visits

The bank’s innovative service enables real time meetings between clients and bank experts, regardless of how remote they are

United Bulgarian Bank, part of the Belgian KBC Group, is the first bank on the Bulgarian market to offer its business clients a new service, addressing the problem of the time and distance between the client and the financial institution’s expert. The Video Banker service offers the clients who cannot visit a branch of the bank the opportunity to have a meeting with a consultant and to jointly discuss current questions and topics in real time. In its first phase the project is available to business clients (micro, small and medium business, as well as corporate clients) operating in Sofia, while at the end of September the service will also be active for UBB’s business clients country-wide.

The survey, carried out by UBB before the implementation of the new remote communication option, indicates that approximately 84% of the bank's clients approve of the idea and consider its implementation an excellent time-saving solution. Together, clients and specialists can remotely work on documents, share screens and organize conference video calls, including such with experts from KBC Group in Bulgaria.    

The service can be accessed from any device - smartphone, tablet, desktop computer, by using standard user interfaces. Videobanking is a part of UBB’s ambition to provide its clients a wide range of communication methods for their assistance and maximum convenience.

The connection's security is guaranteed by the global leader in video meeting platforms, which connects the expert with the client and allows E2E encryption. Taking its clients’ wishes into account, UBB will not record the video meetings for business clients, unless compelled by regulations.

Videobanking is a secure and accessible method of remotely connecting a bank expert with a client, it saves time and guarantees the security of the exchanged data. With its new service, UBB becomes the first bank to offer video meetings for business clients and cements its leadership position as an innovative banking institution.
