As of 1 December 2026, United Bulgarian Bank AD (UBB) will introduce the Verification of Payee (VoP) service in compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2024/886 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 March 2024. The service is part of the measures aimed at enhancing the security of payment transactions.

In this regard, United Bulgarian Bank AD will introduce new General Terms and Conditions of UBB AD for Payment Services for Individuals, effective as of 1 December 2026, which set out the terms and conditions governing the service in detail in Section 5.7.a. and section 5.7.b.

The General Terms and Conditions of UBB AD have been prepared in accordance with European regulatory requirements and sound banking practices. Their purpose is to ensure a high level of customer awareness, as well as a high level of quality and security of payments and of the services provided in relation to all payment services offered by the Bank.

As of 1 October 2026, the General Terms and Conditions will be available to all customers in hard copy at UBB branches, as well as on the UBB website .
