While caring about the safety of its clients UBB increases from BGN 50 up to BGN 100 the limit for contactless payments with UBB debit and credit cards at POS terminals in commercial locations in Bulgaria, without the need to enter a PIN code.

We believe that this change is going to contribute to the safer use of cards at commercial locations in the current state of emergency, thus enhancing the speed and convenience upon contactless payments and responding to the expectations and needs for fast and easy card payments, while maintaining higher level of security.

This change is valid for all contactless debit and credit cards, issued by United Bulgarian Bank.

*Due to the need of technical time for updating the software of all POS terminals of United Bulgarian Bank and those of the other banks in this country, it is possible that at certain commercial locations the new conditions may not be applicable with immediate effect.
