United Bulgarian Bank (UBB), part of the Belgian financial group КВС, distinguished for offering innovative products on the Bulgarian market, has now enabled its clients to use Apple Pay – a safe and convenient payment method. Thus clients will be protected and they will not need to give their payment card to somebody else, touch physical buttons or exchange cash – by using the power of iPhone for protection of every single transaction.

With Apple Pay clients simply approach their iPhone or Apple Watch to a POS terminal, in order to effect a contactless payment. Each purchase with Apple Pay is secure, because it has been authenticated with a Face ID, Touch ID or the device password. Apple Pay is being accepted at food stores, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, cafeterias, retail shops and at many other locations.

Clients may also use Apple Pay on an iPhone, iPad and Mac, in order to effect faster and convenient purchases in apps or in the Internet via Safari, without the need to create user accounts or to enter on a recurring basis delivery and invoicing info. Apple Pay makes it easier to pay deliveries of food and food items, online shopping, transport and parking, as well as many other things. Apple Pay can also be used for effecting payments in Apple Watch apps.

Security and confidentiality are at the core of Apple Pay. When clients use a credit or a debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not being stored in the device, nor in the servers of Apple. Instead, the unique number of the device is encrypted and securely stored in Secure Element, a specialized chip, certified by the payment industry, intended to store the information on payments securely in the device.

Apple Pay is easy to set. iPhone users just need to open the Wallet app, tap „+“ and follow the steps, in order to add their Mastercard® credit or debit cards, issued by UBB. After a client has added a card to iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac, he/she may immediately start using Apple Pay on this device. Clients will continue receiving all awards, preferential terms, promotions and advantages, offered by the UBB cards.
