Cards transactions in the United Kingdom in line with the expiry of the transition period, with effect from 01.01.2021

This is to inform you that the date 31.12.2020 marks the end of the transition period for withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland („the United Kingdom“) from the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA).

To this end, with effect from 01.01.2021 the operations performed with cards issued by UBB, in the territory of the United Kingdom, will be treated as transactions outside the EEA and will be charged according to the respective tariff rates from the Fees and Commissions’ Tariff for individuals.
