UBB and the companies of the KBC Group in Bulgaria are stopping the dual visualization in euros and leva in stages
12 August 2026
United Bulgarian Bank (UBB), part of KBC Group in Bulgaria, is gradually discontinuing the dual visualization of amounts in euro and Bulgarian lev. This follows the expiration on 8 August 2026 of the period for mandatory dual display of fees and transaction amounts in euro and lev, as stipulated by the Law on the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria.
The gradual phase-out of dual visualization aims to make the transition to euro-only values smoother and more comfortable for customers. Any information shown in lev is provided solely for reference and informational purposes and does not constitute dual display within the meaning of the Law.
UBB would also like to remind its customers that, for their convenience, the bank will continue to accept cash deposits in Bulgarian lev into euro-denominated accounts free of charge until 30 September 2026.
The process of discontinuing dual display also applies to all companies within KBC Group in Bulgaria where such display is currently in place.
