The prestigious financial magazine Global Finance repeatedly distinguishes UBB as the Best Bank in Trade Finance in Bulgaria. The award is won by UBB for a third year in a row, the first dating back to Y2019. This is the 21st consecutive World’s Best Trade Finance Providers annual awards initiative of the international Global Finance magazine, praising the best banks in the field of trade finance among 102 countries worldwide.

The Global Finance ranking is made by the renowned editorial board that has turned the award into a high-performance standard in the financial sector, while distinguishing winners by applying subjective and objective criteria. Among the objective criteria are the volume of transactions, global coverage, profitability, customer services, competitive prices, innovation, etc. The subjective criteria involve the opinion of sector analysts, rating agencies, corporate managers, technological experts, clients and contractors in the industry. As a result, the winner banks are not necessarily the largest, the oldest or the most diversified ones, but rather the top performers in the field.
